More Fun!

Saturday we took the kids swimming. We had a great time. Russ had to go into work that night at 6:00pm until 6:00am so we tried to squeeze as much fun as we could out of the few hours we had together.

Here is Eli helping Russ not get his "bald spot" sun burned. What a good son.

Russ had to document how I let him do all the work while I got a tan and talked on the phone. He's a good man to take care of four kids at a pool and let me rest.

After swimming we came home and set up our trampoline. It was a bribe for them to let me cut their hair. Whoever got their hair cut first, got to jump first. Worked like a charm. I have four clean cut boys again. I mean, three boys and one man.

(They are pretending to be trapped in a jail.
Goof balls!)

Boys will be boys....

Last night was such a beautiful summer evening we couldn't help but take the kids to do something outside. What we thought was going to be a nice walk down the river to let the "boys be boys" and catch frogs, snakes and whatever else they could find, turned into us all getting soaked but, we had a blast!

I am rarely in any photo's because I am always the one behind the camera. Russ thought he should document me as part of the family.

By the end Ivy was wet up to her waist.
She didn't mind one bit.

I of course was in heaven! I had my camera and LOTS to photograph. The lighting was awesome and as we were leaving I noticed I had taken 80 pictures in a little over an hour. Digital camera's rock!

I guess she minded a little.......

Family Night Fishing

We had such a fun Family Night on Monday taking the kids fishing. To be honest I was dreading it and thought I was going to get out of it when Eli was complaining of a stomach ache when he got home from Summer School.. Kanyon was determined so we ran and got our bait and thought we would just make a quick trip of it.

That's right, our bait was chicken nuggets and french fry's. We found out a few years ago that if you want little kids to catch "junk fish" then let them load their hooks with junk food. The best part is, is that they can load their hooks themselves. And I don't have to smell or look at a worm.

Eli was content to throw rocks

Ivy went straight for the water every time! she would get stuck in between the rocks thank goodness. This girl has NO fear. She wanted to touch every fish we caught.

Problem with the bait is sometimes it gets stolen...

And eaten....

Finally, we had to leave because Eli was SO sick and threw up all over our fishing area. Poor guy.
Think we will try it again next week!

Pack Meeting

We are so proud of how hard Kanyon is working at scouts. He is such a good kid.
He is fun, kind, helpful and very smart. Way to go Kanyon!

These are Kanyon's buddies. They all have a great time together.

Curlers

Yes, I am one of those Mom's.
Ivy doesn't even mind when I put them in and for the most part keeps them in.

She even mows the lawn after... ;)

Fun in the sun!

We have been sun crazy this week. Over eight hours of the last two days have been filled with water, SUN, SUNburn, SUNscrene and over all, SUNny dispositions...

Okay, Okay I know what your thinking.... enough pictures of Ivy.... But really, with a girl this cute I can't help myself.

Oh yeah, my other kids......

MUD! They sat in this mud for over an hour.... I won't tell you the process of getting that much mud out of crevasses and out of bathtubs. A boys dream for sure though!

Eli decided he didn't like all that "yucky mud"

Kanyon and our friend James Livin it up!

Kanyon started to get a little crazy. He is ALL boy! The dirtier the better!

This was the result......

Thanks James for helping Kanyon get to the water so he could wash his eyes out and see again.
