A few things have been going on- first: This is a joke Eli thought was SOO funny today. Russ was sleeping after church because he had just gotten off of a 24hr shift with little sleep and Eli put this fake poop we have right behind his bum. When Russ was waking up Eli said "look Dad you pooped your pants while you were sleeping..gross!" We actually love the fake poop and have played many funny tricks on people.
As Russ was working this weekend I decided to brave the Airshow alone with the kids. All I have to say is HOT and after waiting for 2hrs for the planes to even fly we left right when they started.. Next year I will make sure not to be on time.
Also we are very excited the spray park is open for the summer. I am ready for my tan!
This is just a random picture of my roses out back. They are so pretty this year. They will be dead soon so I though I had better document.

Lawn Mowing 101
So I guess I was left out of the loop when someone, somewhere had a lawn mowing 101 course. As I was being the faithful wife that I am today and was mowing the lawn. I see my neighbor walking over to me. At this exact moment I was pushing the mower uphill trying to get under a tree/bush in my front yard. He said "you know, it is much more efficient to start uphill and go back and forth" He made some hand gestures and I pretended to understand and said "Well, I like the work out" he said "that's too much of a work out". SO, I kept on mowing and this time I went back and forth like I thought his hand gesture meant and then as I am just about finished with the lawn it dawns on me what he meant. As I am at the top of the hill mowing because I had started at the bottom and worked my way up. After he plainly told me to start at the top and work down. I guess I just didn't get the concept until it was too late. Anyway, I thought I had better go over and talk to him and make a joke because he obviously continued to watch me mow it all wrong. I explained to him what an idiot I was and he replies "Thats the first thing they teach us in mowing 101" ummm.... I must have missed that memo

Mothers Day Goodies
I admit that I totally milk Mother's Day. If the kids and I play a game on Mothers Day I expect that they let me win. If I am thirsty I expect them to bring me a drink, I pretty much act like a queen for the day and lucky for me I have done it for enough years that my kids and Russ totally fall for it. Eli will tell me "Mom, go lay down and put your feet up" Russ and the kids make Breakfast, lunch and dinner and clean it up. Not to mention all the special treatment that I pretty much demand. (In a funny nice kinda way) . This Mothers Day was no exception. Here's my loot from the weekend.
Flowers that the boys picked out. They each picked a color of Daisy that they thought I would like.
A kitchen radio/CD player. Now I can have a dance party every morning before I send the boys to school. They like dance parties, whether they admit it or not.
Yard work. Yes my boys took turns trimming the hedges. pretty good I say.
Garden. Some of the garden was already planted. Here are my peas and radishes.
This is our secret weapon ths year to keep the bugs off of my squash. We will see if it works.
Only problem with having such a great Mother's Day is coming back to reality the next day. I think I will try "But it's the day after Mother's Day, you have to do what I say" I will let you know if it works...

The Wedding Day
The wedding day was rainy. We didn't get pic's at the Temple but it was a beautiful ceremony.
Me, my Mom and brothers
Me and Kara.
We swam before and after the wedding. Best part for the kids!
We even convinced some friends that were at the reception to borrow some shorts and swim with us. (told you I would put you in the blog Laura ;) )

The Trip
We are back from a week of Wedding Festivities. Still a little jet lagged after getting home so late last night. I was lucky to wake up with a migraine right before our flight. Not something I recommend! This will take a few posts so bare with me..
This was as I was packing to leave. Ivy found Russ's bag and thought she needed to shave.
This lasted about... As long as it took to take this picture.
We celebrated Grandma Lu's Birthday right after we landed.
Ivy and Annie born a week apart.
After a full day of flying and partying we still had a 2hr drive to my Mom's house. The kids were pooped!
I LOVE the drive to my Mom's house, it is through a beautiful canyon. The windmills are my favorite.
