105.7 Degrees

This is what happens when Strep Throat hits your house....

And, one question.. How do you force an unwilling 2yr old to take the antibiotic?? I have tried everything...

At the hospital when are kids won't take their medicine we have to be the bad guys. Lay them on their back, pin them with our arms and legs, hold their cheeks, squirt it to the side of their mouth so it is harder to spit and blow in their face so they have to swallow. Wow that sounds really cruel to spell it out like that...but it works, every time. Good luck! Strep throat sucks!

Poor Ivy. She was so miserable at the park on Friday.

On a lighter note, I'm starting The Good Earth tonight. I'm so excited!

The only thing that I have found that works is putting it into strong juice (like a grape blend) where they can't taste it. I just put it in like 4 oz. or so so they'll finish it pretty quick and give them a fun straw (in those take-n-toss straw cups w/ lids) so they drink it faster than sitting around with a sippy cup.

Good luck! I hate hate hate antibiotics with little kids. Why can't they make a chewable or meltaway for them?

I can commiserate. Strep is the worst. I wish I had a magic solution to get the medicine down. I'm going to keep checking back to see if anyone else comes up with one. Good luck and hang in there!
